Misfits-Halloween

The cover of Halloween.

Halloween is the third single released by The Misfits. It was recorded some time in 1981 and released by Plan9 Records on October, 30 of that year. The songs on this EP are a celebration of the pagan tradition of Halloween, and are not based on the horror films by the same names.

The lyrics to "Halloween II" are in nonstandard Latin, and translate to:

"Ancient formulas of exorcisms and excommunications
that witches and those made wolves believe
I maim now the demon clothed in wolfskin
Having to hide in the hollow of a tree
I believe that they so can be changed."
